Katelyn raps from the uncomfortable middle of figuring herself out, and she says so plainly. Being honest and vulnerable in her music is still new; opening up has never come easy. But music has always been how she expresses herself, and the songs carry what conversation cannot. ‘Going Crazy’ arrived with a simple question for the listener: can you relate?

II.The advocacy
During Mental Health Awareness Month she wrote about why it carries a different weight for her now, encouraging people to look inward at the parts they avoid, to check on their loved ones, and to give themselves the same grace. If you are carrying something heavy, her message stands: you do not have to carry it alone.
